Special Gift for a Cook

I really enjoy giving gifts, and instead of wrapping paper, I like to make the packaging a part of the gift as well. This is a fun project and it takes only a few minutes to put together.

I gave this to a sweet friend when she got married. I bought my four favorite spice blends from Penzey’s. I found this pretty white ceramic baking dish at World Market, lined it with paper shred, and filled it with the spices and a bottle of my homemade vanilla extract.

I used this cute dish towel from Target to embellish it. There are limitless variations to this basic idea, and it’s so much fun to create. Give it a try and then share your ideas with me!
